Giving new life to Somali children.

Many Somali children need surgery that can't be done in Somalia, and their families, especially poor and displaced families, can't afford to seek it abroad. We connect them with international charitable hospitals that treat them for free.

Founded in 2025 in Mogadishu by Somali healthcare professionals, humanitarian workers and scholars.

Children who can't be treated at home.

Some conditions need surgeons and equipment that Somalia doesn't yet have. For the families of these children, going abroad is out of reach without help.

  • Poor familiesHouseholds that cannot pay for specialist care, at home or abroad.
  • Displaced families (IDPs)Families uprooted from their homes, with little income and few options for their sick child.
  • Children with complex conditionsHeart, brain, liver, kidney, cancer and bone conditions that need subspecialist surgery.

Six surgical specialties, where local care is hardest to find.

We focus on complex pediatric surgery. Our partner hospitals perform the operations. We prepare the case, arrange the journey and follow the child home.

  • Cardiac surgery

Congenital heart defects such as Tetralogy of Fallot and septal defects, and valve repair.

  • Neurosurgery

Hydrocephalus, spina bifida, and brain and spinal cord tumors.

  • Hepatobiliary surgery

Biliary atresia (Kasai procedure), congenital liver lesions and complex digestive reconstruction.

  • Urological surgery

Bladder exstrophy, severe hypospadias and congenital kidney and urinary tract conditions.

  • Pediatric oncology

Surgery for solid tumors such as Wilms' tumor and neuroblastoma, with cancer treatment at partner centers.

  • Orthopedic and trauma surgery

Limb deformities, severe fractures, bone infections and injuries that need specialist care.

Our aim is to open pediatric screening and referral centers in Mogadishu and every Federal Member State, so children can be assessed close to home.

From a clinic in Somalia to an operating room abroad, and back.

Every child follows the same five steps, so families always know what happens next.

  1. Screening in Somalia

Our doctors evaluate the child and prepare verified diagnostic files, imaging and lab reports.

  2. International case review

Volunteer specialists and partner charitable hospitals confirm that surgery is right for the child and choose where.

  3. Visas and travel

We help with visas, travel documents, flights, emergency transport and accommodation for the child and one parent or guardian.

  4. Surgery at a partner hospital

The operation is done at a charitable hospital, with surgery and medication provided free.

  5. Home, with follow-up

The child returns with a rehabilitation plan, and our doctors coordinate follow-up in Somalia with the treating hospital.
